REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON JUNE 1ST FOR IN-TOWN TRAVEL PLAYERS
& ALL OTHER ELIGIBLE PLAYERS.
Eagles Ice Hockey teams compete mainly against other Morris County towns in the Morris County Youth Hockey League (MCYHL). The league age levels for the 2026-27 season are as follows and based on USA Hockey guidelines. It reflects the player’s age on January 1 of the hockey season. In the 2026-2027 season, the age is based on the player’s age on January 1, 2027.
NOTE: To register, all players MUST have a VALID USA Hockey registration number for the 2026-2027 season. Please first visit https://membership.usahockey.com/ to register with USA Hockey.

OUT OF TOWN RESIDENTS
Residents in surrounding towns without a hockey program that wish to play on an Eagles Ice Hockey team, must receive prior approval through the MCHYL Special Participants Program. You can submit your request at HERE and specify you would like to be placed on an Eagles Ice Hockey team. If approved, the MCHYL will forward your information to us. Please note that in order to be in complience with the MCHYL rules, we can no longer accept direct registrations from out of town residences.

- Payment plan available for full-time registration. $200 deposit at registration with balance due payments spread out over July, August, September. All balances due by September 15, 2026.
- A reduced fee for travel player’s will be available. This fee will cover any practices/games the player is able to attend. Please note players must attend half of the regular season games to be eligible to play in the playoffs. PLEASE NOTE: Full time recreational players will receive priority over travel players in practices and games if roster limits are exceeded and as such may be required to sit out a particular practice(s) or game(s).
- Mites Practice ONLY option is for those non-travel players born in 2018 or later who are new to hockey and wish to work on improving their skills without playing in games.
- Summer Practice ONLY option is open to only those players who reside in Denville, Rockaway Township, Rockaway Borough and Wharton and wish to work on the skills during the summer.
New players to the program must purchase a personalized Eagles jersey and socks, with last name and choice of number (subject to availability). Returning players can purchase a new jersey and/or socks if needed. The purchase can be made at the time of player registration. The cost is $115.
Summer Practice Ice Schedule
Tuesday and Thursday nights 7/7 - 8/13 and Monday 8/17 and Wednesday 8/19 at Mennen Sports Arena for all levels. All session will be from 7:30pm - 9:30pm EXCEPT the for 7/21 & 7/23 which will be between 8:00pm - 10:00pm. Mites: 7:30pm - 8:10pm, Squirts: 8:10pm - 8:50pm, PW/BT: 8:50pm - 9:30pm.
7/21 & 7/23 practices will be (MT: 8:00pm - 8:40pm, Squirts: 8:40pm - 9:20pm, PW/BT: 9:20pm - 10:00pm).
Fall/Winter Practice Schedule
Mites: Mondays 6:10pm - 7:10pm at SportsCare Arena from 9/14/2026 - 3/1/2027
Squirts: Mondays 7:20pm - 8:20pm at SportCare Arena from 9/14/2026 - 3/1/2027
Peewees/Bantams: Wednesdays 7:50pm - 8:50pm at Skylands Ice Arena from 9/2/2026 - 11/11/2026
Peewees/Bantams: Tuesdays TDB at Mennen Sports Arena in December, January and February
MCYHL games begin around the last weekend in October and go until the middle of February. Playoffs will take place at the end of February or during the first two weekends in March. Games will take place at Mennen Sports Arena. They are played full ice over three periods with the exception of the Mite level. Occasional non-MCYHL games may be added and be played at other area rinks.
Mites will also participate in ten (10) games in the Skylands League at Skylands Ice Arena at Saturdays. Dates/times - TBD.
Mite games are played half-ice, 4-on-4 (plus goalies).
At times, Eagles Ice Hockey coaches may look to participate in seasonal or weekend tournaments that are not affiliated with the MCYHL. Since participation in these tournaments is optional, there would be an additional cost above the standard registration fee.
